Maybe so - however,,,, I haven't noticed any pop-ups that are so intrusive they make the site unuseable.
I use "Cuteftp" to ftp whole sets of html, pics, etc to it without problems, and as it is a fairly simple site I have not yet noticed anything I need that it doesnt provide. Lycos WAS brilliant - now, it looks so naff and still has pop-ups, that I feel justified in having found an alternative. I have been finding-out about hosted services - it's quite cheap really - about £45 a year - for web space, domain name and emails addresses. I won't be buying it from Lycos though! |
