	There is no firm news yet of Lycos web hosting closing but it should still still be operating for at least the first quarter of 2009 so there is no need to panic about moving your site yet. If they do decide to end the free hosting you have a couple of choices, use a directory service such as http://www.free-webhosts.com/ to find free web hosts with the features you need. Another thing you can do is what I did. If you have a broadband connection and your ISP allows it, you can set up your own web server. The advantages are you have as much space as your hard drive can hold, you can run what you like, PHP, Perl, FrontPage, whatever, and there are no adverts at all. The downside is you need some time and a little technical skill to set it up.
