If you create pages in FrontPage as part of a "web" then FrontPage will create several folders to store images and other files. If this happens then you need to upload the files using the built-in FTP program to make sure these folders get uploaded too.

The folders created will have names like _derived, _fpclass, _overlay etc. Do not edit these folders and files outside of FrontPage. You may also need to turn on the FrontPage extensions in your account here.

If you look at the properties for your images on the website you will see that they all belong in a directory named http://members.lycos.co.uk/jimandsue/_derived/ which was not uploaded by the FTP program you used.

If you create web pages outside of a FrontPage "web" (which is how I do it) then you can upload the files any way you want to.
