Subject RE: FTP total commander or tripod problem

I've found that with Total Commander that when connecting to Lycos you must make sure that you are not trying to connect anomously, that PASV mode must be on by default (Configuration > Options > FTP - "Use passive mode by default" chckbox must be ticked).

If you save the session then when you disconnect go to Connect > FTP Connect > Edit... and make sure the "Use passive mode for transfers" checkbox is checked.

I do not know why Total Commander makes you do this twice, no other FTP program I use makes you edit these settings in two different places.

When you say "i wanna create my page not by "Web FTP" I hope you don't mean you are editing the files directly on the server as if they lose the files, which does happen to web hosts occasionaly, then your work is probably gone for good. The best way is to write the files on your own computer and then upload them. Even doing this, don't forget to back up your computer files as well.
