Google have recently introduced a system where you can produce your own presonalized points on their mapping system.

I've been playing around with Google Maps recently for my own website and found it's really easy to use and you can either use HTML or Rich Text (much like 250Free's own editor). You can even embed the maps into your own site pages if you like.

for thse who like really getting down to the nitty gritty they've even provided access to the API (application programming interface)

To get started go to http://maps.google.com/ , create an account then click on "My Maps"

For help on using "My Maps" go to http://maps.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?answer=68480

For a map I created go to "A Postcard Tour of Terre Haute" - http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UTF8&hl=en&msa=0&msid=104308210197001778484.00045209c27f5cc6deaaa&ll=39.477678,-87.409244&spn=0.019842,0.044289&z=15
