The configuration of AllowOverride is the one that defines what directives
of .htaccess files will overwrite older or not. For example in Lycos servers it is possible that users can use .htaccess files to password protect a sub-folder but not to give redirections to a single file. I don't want to edit the AllowOverride, i just ask where can i find information of the Lycos configuration and to put it simple if i can use an .htaccess file to redirect files on my account. thank you again for your help. |
